Mary Day Smith Mary will be seen in the upcoming feature film being produced by Whippoorwill Hollow Films. She will have the role of the sushi bar waitress. Mary is a senior at the University of North Alabama majoring in Sociology. Her first performance was at Russellville High School in Alabama. She joined the U.S. Army and served 8 years. While in the army, she performed in several Soldier Showcase Shows in South Korea. At Fort Riley, Kansas she played a courtesan in A FUNNY THING HAPPENED ON THE WAY TO THE FORUM, and Florence Unger in THE ODD COUPLE. Mary is very active in volunteer work and serves as the first-ever female Commander of American Legion Post #11 in Florence, Alabama. She is also a member of the VFW and the Korean War Veterans Association. Mary also donates time to her two sons, Kaleb and Micah. She has recently been nominated for “Shoals Woman of the Year.”
